A Collision of World’s
Aren’t we all chasing moments where we can feel present and alive? It has become rare that intimate moments can be savored; as the world races to the future and technology becomes a precursor to our every decision, we often neglect the raw reality of the here and now. The desire to prolong transient moments of tranquility remains paramount and can be possible through intentional experience.
We spot each other by chance in a crowded bar; our eyes meet as passersby reveal a glimpse of empty space directly between us. At that moment, something clicks— the attraction, mutual. Was it by chance at all, or rather an invisible thread that brought us together? Just two people searching for that shared moment of bliss.
Like two magnets drawn to each other, our tension can be felt in our magnetic field; the magnetic energy stabilizes the moment we connect with each other. There’s a quality that compels you towards the girl who caught your attention. Her long dark hair cascades over her rounded shoulders and frames her light Mediterranean complexion, her ambiguous appearance adding to her mysterious allure. Is it her delicate demeanor or her sweet face, holding a twinkle of mischief in her deep brown eyes, that draws you? A quiet confidence follows her every step as she approaches you; her dimpled smile leaves you curious for more. Lucky for you, she's just as curious about you.
Our encounter is a dance of flirtation, like a puzzle or a game that is best played by two. As we get acquainted, a blush sweeps over my rosy cheeks over a glass of wine and witty banter, and I lightly tease you to understand the outline of your person. You follow me to the corner booth, and you can’t help but notice the dark shadows hugging my hips, a slim hourglass silhouette that is inviting to the touch. We cozy up and relax in the bubble of our own company, my presence disarmingly sweet, everything fades away, and time stands still. This type of intimacy cannot be forged. What our next adventure entails is up to you, possibilities endless.
“When two people meet, each one is changed by the other, so you’ve got two new people. Maybe that means—hell, it’s complicated.”
You can call me Daphne
I’m not one to subscribe to society's standards or pressures. Though, I’d be remiss to pretend we don’t all conform to a certain extent, after-all isn’t that the reason the world keeps spinning? But there are moments when we realize that conformity is not without constraints– impeding on our ability to fully surrender to our own pleasures. At the end of the day, life is more fun when you bend the rules and live without fear or regret...
My latest project is Daphne. Daphne came about as a version of myself I most love to be—free-spirited, unapologetic and magnetic. She's the person I've always wanted to become, and in many ways, already am. Forever evolving, complex and oftentimes a paradox. Born during my time in the corporate world, which I recently traded for a STEM post graduate program. Disillusioned by the monotony of the 9-5 world, I sought something to satiate my restlessness and curiosities of the world that go beyond deadlines and team meetings.
As a late bloomer, I had to make up for looks in my personality. A blessing in disguise, which taught me that life is more than just outward appearances (though having good looks doesn’t hurt). I have a knack for dry humor and sweet sarcasm that only the perceptive will catch. I’m practical and analytical by nature, a lingering gift from my engineering days, yet easygoing and soft in demeanor which I attribute to a polite upbringing. Don't let my politeness fool you, I am head strong and disciplined with a fiery soul.
I hold the belief that being particular in life is what makes one unique, being agreeable to everything holds no weight and can be oh so boring. I enjoy pragmatic people, duality and contradictions, all the things that make us human. Indulge me with your specific opinions and realties, I want to know them all. Let’s get lost in conversation and watch the world fade away. What are you waiting for?
